It's a theatre guild forum. It'll be more efficient than this community, so join up.

I just wanted to take a second and tell everyone how great this year has been for me in CTG.

Pretty much, I've had one of the best theatre years I've had in a while, and I feel really secure leaving the Guild to all of you. I feel like I can leave and not worry about the Guild at all. It will be fantastic.

You guys have been my friends and my peers through at least this entire year, some longer, some shorter, and I can't thank you enough for all you've done for me. I feel like a completely different person after spending this year in your company. Thank you so much for that.

I just have a few words of advice:

1) Never exclude ANYONE from joining. I know that the group is a social group made up of all of our friends just as much as it is a theatre group. Just because someone isn't your friend, or because you don't like them doesn't mean they should not be in the group. Make them part of the group, and maybe you'll become friends. We've had problems with this in the past, lets not continue that into the future.

2) Have fun. I know how seriously a lot of us take this group. It should be a serious thing, but it should also be a fun thing. It's like cake: If you don't have the cake, the party won't be nearly as cool. With cake, though, everything will be great. Everyone loves cake! So relax, and have some fun.

3) Love the group. Don't ever let anything make this group an obligation rather than a privilage. Theatre Guild is one of the best experiences I've ever had, and I know that it will continue to be great as long as we let it. So, don't forget how great this year was and how much fun Theatre Guild can be.

Above all else, you just need the passion I know you all have. Never lose your wonderful personalities and wonderful selves. Never forget who you are when you're playing someone else onstage. Never let the set fall apart :). Live your life to the fullest and never forget all the good times when you're going through the bad.

I love you all, and I love this group! CTG FOR LIFE!

Hey, I'm just curious--who here wants to try out for Beauty and the Beast? I think I'm going to. Aren't the tryouts next tuesday? because I remember the flyer saying something about tryouts being on the 17th but I wasn't sure..and I lost the flyer. Haha.
But yeah.. I was just curious!

Sorry to post twice in a row, but I think I'm going to run for historian. I think I'm nostalgic enough to save everything and make good ways to be remembered in the future and remember past shows. Plus I freak out if I'm not organized enough wen it comes to theatre and I don't mind paperwork at all. I'm almost fairly certain I'll have more time to do the work since most people say that sophmore year is very easy. Thoughts, comments....

Guys, I really hate to sound like a jackass, but we really need to read those scripts. I know everyone's busy and have important things to do but I think that we've been given a very generous second chance with another week. I also realize I shouldn't be preaching this since I've only read five but I think that as a group we should all be on top of this. I'm going to post a list of who has the scripts and whatnot here tomorrow.

is anybody else super excited for elections for next year? scott said that we would do them once the seniors leave.

i would really, really, really love to be president next year. i know i'm only going to be a junior, but i think i would be good at it and hopefully we'd get a lot more done. so i figured i'd start my little campaign here. and i'd like honest opinions...do you think i'd be any good at it?

i just figured that since it's going to be a hot topic in the next couple meetings i'd bring it up so you can keep it in your minds who you think would be good at the different offices.

I think we should make an online community outside of livejournal because some people without livejournals feel left out. We could still leave this one up because it is a convinient way of communicating but this way we could include everyone with internet access. I can do it if everyone thinks it's a good idea and i should go ahead. I'll pitch the idea on monday, but I don't want it to seem like I'm making competition. I know they could just make livejournals and they wouldn't have to write in them and stuff, but a lot of people just hate livejournal and this way we could avid all of those politics.
